We need a unified map to connect the three continents. I'm just noting what a pain it is to get around. Let's say you are in the Realm of Torment and you want to go to Cavalon. Under the current system, I have to:
Map to the Mouth of Torment area
Zoom out, and map to the ship
Go to Kaineng Center
Map from Kaining to Cavalon

That's too many steps, and with several intermediate and unnecessary maps to load. When prophecies first came out, the map system was very elegant. It got you where you needed to go, quickly.

I would suggest 2 changes.

Merge the continents onto a single map. It simply has to zoom out farther to get the entire map sized for the screen.

I would also like a "Map To" command that could be used with the friend's list or from the guild menu. If that friend or guildmate is in a town or guildhall, I can map to their location and district via a button on those menus. This would really help experienced players keep track of their less experienced friends, as they will infallibly tell you to meet them in the wrong town or district. Beyond that, it will save time and surely some negligible amount of bandwidth.

Some of the ideas posted here are a little far-fetched. This seems simple, reasonable and elegant. No major changes to game play. No "unbalancing" effect. It would just make everybody's life a little easier.
